Medical Assistance and Repatriation

If you or a fellow traveller are in need of emergency medical assistance whilst abroad and do not have the appropriate travel insurance, Healix International can help. Established in 1992, we are a British company of doctors and nurses providing medical case management and repatriation services to the majority of travel assistance companies in the UK.  We are very experienced in this area, handling approx. 25,000 in-patient cases and 1,500 repatriations a year and so are well qualified to help you.

Ensuring your medical welfare

Just ring our 24 hour emergency helpline, manned by critical care medical staff. They will liaise with you and your local doctors to evaluate your medical condition and decide upon the best course of action to ensure your medical welfare.  If you are well enough to fly, we will arrange door to door transportation with qualified medical personnel and state-of-the-art medical equipment.  We will either fly you home or, if necessary, fly you to the nearest suitable medical facility for treatment before arranging your homeward journey.

Controlling costs on your behalf

We will use our specialist knowledge and expertise to not only ensure you get the most appropriate emergency medical treatment whilst abroad, but also to contain costs on your behalf.  If you are seriously ill and need an international air ambulance we will arrange this as rapidly as possible and make all the necessary arrangements for your hospital admission on arrival.  For less serious conditions, a fully equipped air ambulance is often not essential and we are able to save clients a considerable amount of money by arranging medical repatriation on a commercial flight, accompanied by suitably qualified and equipped medical escorts.
